Daily Goals:

If you’re looking for a spot for lunch right in the heart of Culver City that’s conveniently across the street from BlankSpaces, consider checking out Yalla Mediterranean.

I checked it out for lunch this week. It’s the second time I’ve been there. It’s a Lebanese and Greek inspired menu that features wraps, salads and more. I went for one of the plates and got it with chicken shawarma which is on top of basmati rice and grilled vegetables, a piece of pita bread and a choice of three sides. They have a bunch to choose from and I think they’re tabouli was good though a little salty, traditional hummus that was good as well and a Greek potato salad which was really good.

They served it up really quick which attests to their name, Yalla, means hurry up and that’s what they do. Plus, there’s a friendly staff as well. It’s a casual place where you can eat inside or eat outside on the patio with a really nice view of the Culver City Plaza and the lion fountain.

Previously, I tried one of the pita wraps which is a ginormous wrap filled with made of your choice of protein and greens – really yummy.

I wish they had lamb and their only option for that is a ground beef lamb combo which is not really my thing. I’m a lamb purist and being Lebanese I want it to be all lamb. They do have plenty of vegetarian options with the salads and side dishes so don’t be afraid to check it out

For a quick bite that is reasonably priced and a nice atmosphere it’s a good place that I recommend for lunch!
